1. Who we are

HomeRadar (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are based in Ireland and subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as enforced by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC).

2. What data we collect

We practise data minimisation and only collect what is necessary for the purposes described below.

• Email address — provided when you register your interest.
• Survey responses — optional answers about your rental search situation.
• Usage and analytics data — page views, clicks, session recordings, and device information collected via Mixpanel (only with your consent).

We only share data with processors who have signed Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and provide adequate safeguards under GDPR:

• Mixpanel — analytics and session replay (US-based, EU Standard Contractual Clauses in place).
• Resend — transactional email delivery (US-based, DPA in place).
• Neon — database hosting (EU region, DPA in place).

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a cookie consent banner to ask for your permission before setting any non-essential cookies or trackers.

• Essential cookie — hr_consent: stores your cookie preference (strictly necessary, no consent required).
• Analytics (Mixpanel) — only activated if you click “Accept” on the consent banner. Mixpanel is proxied through our domain (/mp/) so no third-party cookies are set. Data collected includes page views, clicks, session recordings, and device information.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site. The consent banner will reappear.

6. How long we keep your data

• Registration data (email, survey responses) — retained until product launch plus 12 months. You can request deletion at any time.
• Analytics data — retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data and receive a copy.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
